Lake Austin is 250-400 yards wide, & 8 miles long. The water flows from the bottom of Lake Travis - nearly 200 feet deep - and remains around 70 degrees year round. Lake Austin offers home within close proximity to Central Austin, and the further reaching neighborhoods can be as far as a 25 minute drive. Lake Travis is an extremely large, man-made lake to the Northwest of Austin. Lake Travis housing varies from the posh real estate found in Lakeway & Steiner Ranch, to the "lake communities" found on Lake Travis' north shore - in Lago Vista & Jonestown. |
