Getting Around Cedar Park
Since January 2003 getting around Cedar Park became a lot easier. That year, the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, a private government agency, got in motion to improve locomotion in the Austin area counties of Travis and Williamson. The Authority oversees the construction of Central Texas toll roads. The 183A toll road began construction in 2003 and is slated to roll out the red carpet for mid-sized vehicles, SUVS, and eighteen wheeler big rigs in the Spring of 2007.
The balmy months of 2007 will be busy for transportation in this area of Texas. The Texas Turnpike Authority's State Highway (SH) 45 North is a four to six lane highway spanning approximately thirteen miles. The highway, geared up for projected completion in 2007, will feature interchanges at United States Highway 183, Interstate Highway 35, and State Highway 130.
